17 weeks...5 times...seriously?

I am 17 weeks along today in this pregnancy. The past few weeks have been much better...much less nausea thankfully. I am still tired, but that will probably be forever now. :) We had a busy weekend. I had Friday night off (for the first time in months I think) so we could attend my cousin's wedding. It was nice to have a night off with Colin and spend a Friday like non-Friday night-working-people. Saturday morning we had a baby shower for Rebecca. It's fun to go to those and see her get all the new stuff for my nephew (who should be here within 6 weeks!). Abigail got to go to the shower too and thought it was so much fun to be with the girls.

I worked last night and around midnight was feeling terrible backpain. Because I've had kidney stones so much already this pregnancy I knew it was a stone (or stones) coming on. I went home and took Vicodin right away and then a pill for nausea since Vicodin makes me sick. Usually that will be enough to take care of things. It didn't touch it. I was up most of the night wanting to die from the pain. After maybe an hour of sleep I decided we had to go to the hospital. So...my mom came over around 6:00 am (THANK YOU, MOM) and Colin and I went to the hospital. Even there, after an IV and strong pain med I was still in pain which never happens. They gave me another dose and it did make me feel better. Looks like I for sure have at least one stone and probably a kidney infection as well. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday where they will hopefully know more. I was sent home a few hours later with a med stronger than Vicodin and then more anti-nausea meds. I slept until about 3:15...then a snack, more pills and back to bed. Oh, the title...this is my fifth time with stones this pregnancy...in 17 weeks. Makes me wonder and dread what the next 23 weeks hold in store...especially since they have become increasingly more painful, with this time being the worst for sure.

I have the most amazing husband. Colin is amazing to get up with me, take me to the hospital, sit with me there, do/get anything I need and then on the way home even got me a bagel and a newspaper. He then picked up my prescriptions and kept the kids out of my room. Seriously...I could never get through pain like this without him.

So, there's our weekend for you! I did have another shower today for my sister which I obviously missed unfortunately. I hope she had fun! We have another busy week ahead so I hope that I'm feeling better...like right away!
