Henry's 1 Year Appointment
Today Henry had his one-year check-up. He weighs 22 pounds and is 29 1/2 inches long - both put him in the 45th percentile. He will be watched over the next three months for progress in pulling himself up, standing and walking. He will also have his ears checked in a month since there is still lingering fluid in them. Ugh!! Other than those issues, he's doing great!

Happy Birthday, Hank!

Henry turned one yesterday, July17! We had his party on Sunday with family and friends outside at a baseball park. It was a blast, even in 95 degree heat! I can't believe he is one already, time really does fly, even faster with the second child!
More pictures to come when I get them more organized, but here is the little stud enjoying his cake and ice cream.

Abigail and Carson

Since it was raining today, Marci and I took the kids to Hobby Lobby and picked out a couple of crafts. We went home and read the story of Noah and then the kids put together a foam Noah's Ark. Later (completely unrelated) they decorated a little bag with glitter glue and pompoms. They were so good the whole time and loved the activities!

Picking Blueberries at the Gold Barn

Today we picked up Grandma Rita and went to the Gold Barn to pick blueberries! We had a great time! Abigail ate about a pound of them while Colin and I picked about 12 pounds. The middle picture is Henry in the Gold Barn blueberry bucket last year when he was less than 2 weeks old. Hard to believe that was almost a year ago!

4th of July

I had a really nice Photoshop layout of the day ready to upload onto here, but I kept getting error messages. I don't think that Blogger likes Photoshop because the files are quite big. I may have to look into a different blog site...
Anyway...we had a great Fourth! We had the annual Edgewood Beach parade in the morning that the kids took part in. They both were in the wagon and had a great time! After the parade was the big picnic and then Colin took the kids down to the beach while I went shopping in Michigan City with my mom. I think everyone had a fun day!

Cubs Game

On June 29 we took the kids to the first Cubs game that all four of us have gone to together. My mom came along too, but neither she nor I were feeling well, so that put a damper on the day! Henry and Abigail were so good, the Cubs were not. They lost again. The best part of the day, though, was everytime the crowd would cheer, Henry would clap too...so cute!
Picking Raspberries

When we moved into this house we had a couple of really nice raspberry bushes in the back. Four years later they have multiplied and now we probably get over a thousand berries. We really don't do anything to them except water them occasionally and they produce gorgeous berries! Today my Grandma Northouse came over and picked berries with my mom, Abigail and me. We had so much fun!
