We finally had a decent Fall day on Sunday! We spent a good part of the day outside. At Grandpa and Grandma's house the kids (and Rebecca) got a chance to ride on the new 4Wheel that Grandpa bought. They love it and sure think they are cool on it! We also were hoping to send Grandpa and Grandma off on their hot air balloon (Mom's birthday gift), but the wind was just a little bit too much to fly. They may have a chance this week or they will wait until the Spring. The kids had a blast at the park waiting to see if the balloon would be flying. Johanna was laughing in the swing, Henry loved being chased all over the jungle gym and Abigail was having fun on the swings. What a fun day!
Henry has grown up so much since school started. We had a rough Summer with him and agression, anger and yelling, but he has been SO much better since school started. I enjoy my days with him and we are having so much fun together. Today I was able to go on a field trip with him to a pumpkin patch. I went to the same pumpkin patch with Abigail a few years ago and it's a fun trip. Today was absolutely freezing, so that wasn't fun, but the pumpkin patch was definitely a good time. The kids each got to pick out a pumpkin, 2 gourds and 2 Indian corn...they loved that! Another highlight of the trip was getting to ride the bus...Henry LOVED that! Here are a couple of pictures of Henry goofing around outside a few days ago and then at the pumpkin patch today. I love this boy!
We had Selena take Johanna's six month pictures on Monday night. Johanna was SO happy and hamming it up for the camera. Selena, as usual, did an awesome job. We haven't seen them all, but there were a few on Facebook and I'm definitely in love with them! Isn't she such a cutie? :)
My mom knitted these adorable pumpkin hats for Joshua and Johanna this year. We attempted a photo shoot with them yesterday. The pictures didn't turn out awesome, but the hats are adorable!
A few weeks ago Henry, Johanna and I went to Cranes on a Friday morning to pick apples. We wanted Honeycrisp apples and I knew that Saturday would be nuts (the first Saturday for Honeycrisp picking) so the three of us went for a quick trip. The apples were gorgeous and huge and we had a great time picking a ton of apples (and a big bag of peaches!) in a short time. Then we went for donuts, cider and a piece of pie. I'm really enjoying having some special days like that with Henry (and Johanna!).
SO behind on this...life's been crazy. Johanna was 6 months on September 17. She weighed in at 14 pounds, 11 ounces (10-15th percentile) and was 24.75 inches (10-15th percentile). She's still SO happy all the time except when she gets hungry. She's sleeping 11-12 hours at night and likes 2 naps a day, each 1 1/2-3 hours long. We are doing cereal and baby food and she LOVES it (gets so excited about it just like Abigail used to). She's in size 2 diapers when she isn't wearing her Bum Genius. She's in love with Daddy and Henry like crazy...cracks me up! We love this little girl SO much! Taking her pics this month was much more difficult...here's the best we got! :)
