Hudsonville Fair

I'm a little behind on this blog - sorry! It's been a rude awakening to me having to get back into the routine of getting up early with the kids! These are pictures from the Hudsonville Fair. The kids weren't real sure about the animals and there were sooo many of them! I think seeing a gigantic pig up close can definitely be scary! Abigail loved going on a couple of rides, though. She thought she was really hot stuff! Her favorite was the "Crazy Bus." Yes, she is in that bus that high in the air! So fun!

More Birthday Pics

Abigail had her party on Sunday with a bunch of family and friends. She chose "JoJo's Circus" as the theme. We had a great time, but things got a little overwhelming for her toward the end of the day! She spent the rest of the afternoon playing with her new toys before heading over to YoYo's and Grandpa Papa's house for more cake. She loved blowing out the candles! And yes, her shirt does say "Elmo is my Homeboy."

Abigail is 3!

New Pictures

We had Abigail's 3 year-old and Henry's 1 year-old pictures taken today. Getting any of them together was pretty impossible, so we just took them each alone.

Teusinks Farm

We took the kids to Teusinks Farm last week. Abigail was a little scared of the animals after a close encounter with a large white horse at the fair the week before (thanks, Grandpa Bill!). We did end up having a really fun time though! Abigail loved riding "Robin" and "Derby" in the pony ring!

Abigail's Night Adventures

Last night at around 4:30 am Abigail crawled in bed with us. She was wide awake, but I snuggled with her trying to get her back to sleep. She kept poking at my face and pulling up my eyelids. Finally, after about 30 minutes, I rolled over so I was facing Colin and my back was to Abby. She then rolled right over me, laughing, and wedged herself between Colin and me. At this point, I was going crazy so I got up and went to the bathroom. She followed me in there, saying she had to go as well. It was then that I noticed a light on downstairs. This is the conversation that followed:

Mom: "Abigail, did you go downstairs?"
Abby: "Yes. I turn on light."
Mom: "What were you doing down there?"
Abby: "I got a cookie!"

The little munchkin got up at 4:30, went downstairs in the dark, turned on a light, opened a pantry door and got a cookie!! Little stinker!

Needless to say, she went back in her bed after a nice talk about asking mom or dad before you get a cookie! That girl!
