Coupon

Most of you know how much I love coupons and how much I love Target. I put the loves together and usually use a ton of coupons at Target. Well...recently I've received NUMEROUS forwards from people with a coupon for $5 off any $25 purchase at Target. It's a printable coupon, so you could print as many as you wanted. Because of the forums I daily read I knew this was a fake coupon. Let me explain. Months ago Target put out a coupon for $5 off any $25 TOY purchase. Target is well-known for putting out vague coupons...not extremely specific and known to work on lots of things. For example, this TOY coupon would work perfectly fine on any purchase over $25, but only a few people knew that (like those of us who frequent the forums). Anyway...someone altered the TOY coupon, making it good on ANY purchase. Then started emailing it and it spread...like wildfire. It would scan at the store since it was really the toy coupon (that worked on anything over $25), so people used tons and tons of them. Now Target has stopped accepting EITHER coupon...the original and the altered one. Ugh...and right before the big summer toy clearance. I can't believe one idiot could cause such a stink.

ETA: In response to the first comment here (and I don't know who you are...please out yourself!)...the memo/signs went up last night/this morning at Target. Yes, the Holland Target is included. I was there this morning. Each lane has an 8 1/2 x 11 paper showing both coupons and says they won't accept either.

Just stopping in...

To say we are still around...just busy! Summer is full of fun, busy days it seems. Colin works 4 lunch shifts a week and I work 3 nights. I works out well, but we try to pack fun things into the days we have off. Henry started swimming lessons this week and seems to be enjoying them. Colin goes with them, so it's something fun for them to do. Birthday season has officially started...really we have a million of them. From June 8 until Sept. 1 we have birthdays/anniversaries for: my parents anniversary, Anita's birthday, Lois and Andy's anniversary, Bebe's birthday, Tavid's birthday, Haans and Anita's anniversary, Henry's birthday, my birthday, our anniversary (8 years!), Brett's birthday, Martha's birthday, Abigail's birthday and Sylvie's birthday. Yeah, it's busy and so much fun too! Nothing really to report, just wanted to say hi. I hope to have a more fun post next time! :)

John Ball Zoo

We went to the zoo today with my mom, Lois, Diego, Anita and the girls and Anita's sister and her daughter. What a fun day! The weather was cool (note the coats in mid-June!) but really a perfect day for the zoo. We saw the new lion exhibit which is great! The kids also rode the camel, touched the sting-rays and just had a blast seeing everything! Colin, Diego and I got to go on the new zipline (totally fun and worth it!) and Colin and Diego did the new ropes course as well. It was a great day full of fun! The Paci Puppy...the last day of Henry's Pacifier

Enjoy this slideshow of Henry's last day of his pacifier. Yes, he's almost 3. Yes, he's had a pacifier for something like 1000+ days. Yes, I'd probably do it again the same way. :) We took him to "Build-a-Bear" and let him put it in an animal that he chose. My kids never go there so this was big stuff. He did awesome and was so proud. It's now 10:38 and he's quiet...for the first time in almost an hour. It's going to be a long night tonight. And probably tomorrow. And the next night...ugh.
