Abigail's Thanksgiving Feast

Abigail's school has something so cool that they call "families." Every teacher in the school has a group of kids in their family, 2 kids from each grade K-7. Abigail just so happens to have her Grandma as her family teacher. The kids meet with the family each month and do fun team building exercises. The older kids mentor the younger kids...it's really an awesome thing! Every year the entire school (hundreds of kids!) eat a Thanksgiving dinner together. It's so neat...the halls are lined with tables and the kids eat with their families...turkey, mashed potatoes, pie...all the fixings! Here's how Abigail's table looked. Here she is excited to be feasting with her family and checking out the Thanksgiving card at her place (along with a few other goodies for the kids!). You can see her table is filled, so is the cafeteria behind her...and all the halls...such a cool thing!

Here's Abigail with her "buddy," her sixth grade mentor. She loves her!
