It's a new week. Thank goodness! I just need to forget last week I think! :)
This week has started out much better, probably due in part to the fact that Abigail didn't have school yesterday so she went to daycare at Jean's with Henry. I was going to pick her up at noon, but Jean said she'd keep her all day! It was the best $20 I've ever spent that's for sure! It was nice to take it easy for the day. Colin had conferences at night and the kids and I just chilled out and played. Today we woke up at 6:00 to a call from Colin's phone tree that school was canceled. Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! I'm so selfish about it, but I LOVE when Colin has a snow day. I got to sleep in, go out for lunch as a family and just chill out. Colin's so amazing with the kids and makes my job as a mom SO much easier! He was supposed to have conferences this morning with the afternoon off, but now they've moved that to tomorrow, so...Colin will be home tomorrow afternoon as well. Love it!
The kids are being better in general this week as well. I have tried to change my attitude too, so I'm sure that has helped! Thanks for all the comments and emails...I appreciate them all! It's always nice to know you aren't alone!
I've had a chance to get some things done already this week, so that's been nice. I sold a bunch of things on ebay last night and they are all packaged up and ready to be dropped off at the Post Office. It's nice to make that extra money! I also finished filling out Abigail's kindergarten registration information packet. She'll be going to Holland Christian at Rose Park again next year. I looked into the Spanish Immersion program, but decided against it because the main reason she's at HC right now is to have a specific teacher for kindergarten. And that teacher doesn't teach the Spanish program so we decided against it. Abigail will hopefully go full days Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and then Henry will possibly go to threeschool on Tuesday and Friday mornings. I say "possibly" because he'll have to be potty trained by then and I don't see that in the near future! :)
I'm also started to get things in order for our New York trip. It's a little work figuring out where the kids will be for those 4 days and stuff. I'm also overwhelmed with everything there is to do in NY and what Colin and I will want to make sure we do. Any suggestions?
Okay...off to do a couple of things before I leave for work. Have a great rest of the week!

So glad that you are having a better week - love it when hubby's make our job easier!
NY - LOVE it there! I had to do the Today show while I was there and just take in all the sites. Eating is expensive I felt, but it is just awesome there!
yay for better days!!!
I'm not sure how different the experience will be in the winter, but Derek and I HIGHLY recommend the Circle Line boat tour around Manhattan. It's not too expensive and lasts an hour, and it gives great vantage points for photos and learning about the island. (You'll be amazed at how much if it is TREE-filled!) You'll love Chinatown for the deals and crazy vendors, and there's also a fantastical art store there (Chinatown) called Pearl Paint that you might enjoy for the amazing papers and pens and stuff...
I could go on and on, let me know if you still need suggestions!
Also.... YAY for weeks on the other side of the fray! I feel ya...
