84 Years
Last Friday Johanna Mathilda met my Grandma who she is named after. My Grandma, Mathilda "Mick" is my mom's mom. I have always been extremely close to her and have always wanted to name one of my children after her. Colin wasn't quite going for Mathilda as a first name, but agreed for the middle name. My grandma is thrilled and honored. I am so glad. I can't wait to tell Johanna all about her Great-Grandma as she gets older. My Grandma is 84. Look at the fresh, new skin of Johanna next to my Grandma's worn, wrinkled hands...I love it. They both mean so much to me and I'm glad they were able to spend some time together.

Family of Five
Just a quick post to say that we're doing well adjusting to life as a family of five! All three kids are doing well. Johanna is sleeping and eating well. Abigail is smothering her (sometimes too much). Henry is just Henry...loves his sisters and loves to do his own thing.
Colin is home for a couple of more days and we are working on adjusting to everything. Tomorrow will include a trip to the doctor for Johanna and the grocery store for me. Actually we'll all go to the doctor and then Colin will drop me off at the grocery store and pick me back up. I'm not supposed to drive for another week so he's the taxi driver right now. Kinda hard for a mom on the go like me!
I'm feeling pretty good. I seem to bounce back fairly quickly from my c-sections so I'm thankful for that. I do have a little soreness and burning in one spot that I'm hoping and praying isn't an infection. I'm ready to get into a routine though...back to school for the older two kids at least!
Thanks for the thoughts, prayers, visits, emails, gifts, offers to bring meals, etc...we have such awesome friends and family!
Next post will include pictures I promise!!
