Second Half of Spring Break
Colin and Henry should be back soon...they are driving back from Detroit as I type. I'm anxious to see them...I definitely missed my boys! Abigail will be back on Saturday and I miss her like crazy. The break has definitely been nice, but I'm ready to get my family all back home.
Johanna and I have had a good week. We've been busy! We went shopping in Detroit Sunday and Monday. On Wednesday Grandma watched her while I got my hair cut (which I needed SO bad!). Today Grandma watched her again so I could go to the Carter's Warehouse Sale. I cannot believe the amazing deals I got...crazy really. Johanna has been spoiled with love by Grandma...they are both going to go through withdrawal!
I am looking forward to this weekend. I really like Easter and love talking about it with my kids. Abigail loves to sing "Lift High the Cross" and it's truly beautiful when she does. That will be the next video on here when she gets back for sure.
Enjoy the rest of your week everyone!

Spring Break
We are officially on Spring Break over here. Abigail was done on Wednesday at noon and Colin went through Thursday. Thursday around 2:00 Abigail took off with Colin's parents for Florida. She's really excited to go with them for TEN days. I'm so glad she gets to go, but I do think I'm going to miss her. Right now the break is nice since she has to be constantly reminded not to smother her sister, but ten days is a long time. Colin and Henry left today and will come back on Thursday. I really wanted Colin home at the beginning and end of the break, but also know it's nice for he and Henry to go down there. I'm jealous and will miss it, but didn't think it would be a good idea for me to travel with a 2 week-old or this soon after my c-section. Next year we'll all go again for sure though!
We're doing well here...still adjusting, but doing well. Johanna enjoys sleeping most of the time. She also likes to spit up. Well, barf really. :) She actually went to the ER last night because she's been sleeping SO much, spitting up a lot and has a bad cough. After drawing blood (with is terribly pathetic on a 17 day old infant!) and doing a chest x-ray they determined it's just an upper respiratory infection, not pneumonia or anything serious like that. We are watching her weight and I'm trying to feed her more often to keep the little one healthy!
She's such a sweet little girl and generally content when she's awake. I love looking into her eyes and snuggling with her. I just love this newborn stage...love it.
I'm feeling great...really having a great recovery from this c-section. I'm so thankful for that. We've had so many wonderful friends and family bring meals and help in other ways...that really helps the healing process!
I'm looking forward to a little shopping with my mom, sister, Joshua and Johanna in the next couple of days. I love fitting into my old clothes, but could use some new stuff for sure. Hopefully we'll have some luck and the babies will cooperate!
Here are a couple new pictures of Johanna:

84 Years
Last Friday Johanna Mathilda met my Grandma who she is named after. My Grandma, Mathilda "Mick" is my mom's mom. I have always been extremely close to her and have always wanted to name one of my children after her. Colin wasn't quite going for Mathilda as a first name, but agreed for the middle name. My grandma is thrilled and honored. I am so glad. I can't wait to tell Johanna all about her Great-Grandma as she gets older. My Grandma is 84. Look at the fresh, new skin of Johanna next to my Grandma's worn, wrinkled hands...I love it. They both mean so much to me and I'm glad they were able to spend some time together.
