Yes, many of you may think I'm crazy, but oh well...one of my worthless indulgences. Love it.

Abigail's Preschool Graduation

Today Abigail had Preschool Graduation at school. Way too cute! The kids sang like 6-7 songs, did 2 fingerplays and also recited 6 Bible verses. They each got a diploma as well. Abigail was in the front row and was having a blast. She was very animated (shocker, right!) as she sang and recited the Bible verses with sign language. It was a fun morning! My little girl is growing up! Tomorrow is her fieldtrip/class party to a local park. It's going to be like 45 degrees at 9:00 in the morning when we go...real nice! It will be fun though, I'm sure!

No...time...to...post

May is FLYING by...I can hardly keep up. Every week is so crazy that I do not remember the last time that we had a family dinner. I'm serious. Last week and this week there wasn't/isn't one night that we are all home. I don't like that. We already have such limited evening family time with me working 3 days a week and Colin working one night. Summer will be here soon enough, but for now...ugh!!

Here's the quick catch-up...Tulip Time was fun. The kids enjoyed the parade. Well, Abigail at least. Henry has NEVER missed a nap. NEVER. In almost three years. He climbed on my mom's lap half way through the parade and fell fast asleep. Nice. :) Abigail had fun with her friend, Max. They are five days apart in age and always spend the Thursday parade together.

Mother's Day was wonderful. The kids were great, my husband was SO thoughtful...I am so blessed. I also got to spend the day (like every other Sunday...lol!) with my mom and mother-in-law who are both wonderful women. Fun times!

This week has been busy with my Petunias Open House, school, speech, and now a garage sale with my friend Marci. Busy, busy! We are going to a fun auction tomorrow night with our friends, the Walcotts (if no baby), Lindsay's sister and her husband and my sister and Brad. Should be a really, really fun night. Saturday is work like usual and Sunday we will celebrate the baptism of our friend, Jack and then Brad's birthday at my parents. Tired yet?

How about next week? Two days of speech (the last ones), three days of preschool (the last ones!), a preschool graduation, a preschool party, three nights of work and a million other things! Thankfully there should be a family dinner in there somewhere.

Just busy, busy, but that's this time of year. I can't believe school and speech wind up next week! Abigail will be in kindergarten next year and Henry will be transitioning out of his current speech program and into speech in school next year. We are saddened that he will be leaving his current program...we have been so blessed by the work there and Henry's progress is amazing!

Tulip Time 2008

Tulip Time is in full swing here! We (the kids, my mom and I) spent Saturday morning at Kinderplaats. The kids had a blast - Abigail's favorite was the 7 foot snake around her neck and Henry liked getting his hair painted. We had lots of fun!

Tonight we went downtown with our small group from church. This is an annual tradition and a fun time to get all the kids together. There are four couples in our group and 7 kids (2 girls, 5 boys) with another boy due in a few weeks (days?). Abigail is the oldest of the group, so obviously they are all really close. What a fun night!

The pictures are messed-up...out of order...I don't know why, but right now Blogger won't let me move them around. Sorry!

Another Random Post

There will be no flow to this post...you've been warned. :) It's pouring rain outside as am typing this. I have the front and back doors open (with screens/storms of course) so I can hear the rain...love that. I may need to take a nap with that sound soon!

This morning I had to go to the Podiatrist at 9:15. I woke up to my alarm clock saying 9:13. It's 23 minutes fast so I had time to make the appointment, but had literally 4 minutes to get all three of us ready. I raced into the bathroom and did a few things then remembered I had no idea what the temperature was supposed to be, so I quickly peeked on weather.com. As I was waiting for the page to load, I glanced at the little clock on the computer to see if I was down to 2 minutes (a minute for each kid!). That clock said 6:41...huh? I had wondered why it was so dark, but thought that it was just going to rain. I figured there was something messed up with the computer clock, but when the hour-by-hour weather loaded it started with the 6:00 hour. Keep in mind I am totally dressed at this point...just then Colin calls from downstairs "Kids, why are you up?" Now I KNOW it's 6:45...if it were 9:00 Colin would be at school. Turns out when Colin was resetting the alarm for me, he actually reset the time. Nice, real nice. So...the Mulder family was up at 6:41 today...lovely.

I went to the Podiatrist because of severe pain in my heel for the past few weeks. It's so painful, especially in the morning when I get out of bed...I can hardly put weight on it. My doctor told me it's Plantar Fasciitis. He gave me a shot of cortizone right in the painful part...yeah, that hurt like hell. Now it's all taped and I have to wear shoes and my inserts all the time. Lovely. Here's a nice picture...and yes, it's my left foot, not the right foot that I had surgery on in November.

On Monday, May 12 I am having a PETUNIAS OPEN HOUSE. There is a copy of the invitation below. I did block out the location (my parent's house) because they probably don't want their address posted for the world to see! If you are interested (Amanda,Selena, Becky, Sarah and everyone else!) leave a comment and I'll give you the address. It's an open house, so you can come whenever and stay however long. No pressure to buy anything at all. If you do want to buy anything she has stuff priced from $3 up...so something for everyone! I only buy Petunias products for baby gifts and birthday gifts now!

Kelly will also have a Petunias booth at the arts and crafts fair this weekend in Holland. It runs tomorrow and Sunday. I'll be there on Sunday afternoon helping, so if you want to check out her adorable stuff...come stop by!

My kids have been tough lately...really tough. It's been hard and I feel as though I have failed them as a mother, but succeeded in being a screamer. Real nice. I enjoy reading two blogs from two women who are extremely inspirational to me. They have both endured serious tragedies in their lives and have put all trust in God. They are both amazing women who write beautifully. Check them out here...Jody's Nitty Gritty blog can be found HERE. You can read their story HERE. The blog for Audrey Caroline is HERE. Her dad sings for the group Selah...her mom is an amazing writer. Their pain is extremely fresh. You will probably cry reading these. When I'm having a bad day I will read (or re-read) something from them...their positive outlook is amazing, even amidst their tragedies.
